Custom Drapery

Our custom drapery is made especially for you. We do not use an assembly line process at Take Cover! Every drape is crafted to fit your window. Each fabric is carefully inspected for flaws and colour variations before any cutting is done.

Our linings are of the best quality 100% cotton or cotton-synthetic blends for dim-out and black out linings. They undergo the same inspection as the fashion fabric in your drapery. All linings are "laid-in" to perform as one with your fashion fabric.

Other drapery findings are also the best quality available. You will never find nylon monofilament thread in our drapery.

Seams are single needle stitched, and overcast if necessary to reduce fraying. Side and bottom hems are usually double and blind stitched. Hems and seams are weighted to keep your drapery hanging correctly.

Your silk, velvet, and sheer drapery receive extra special treatment at Take Cover! All side and bottom hems and headings are carefully stitched and finished. Interlinings are also recommended for your silk drapery to protect them from harmful Ultra-Violet radiation.

Take Cover! offers many drapery styles. Tab tops, grommets, Italian stringing, Dior pleats, Art-deco pleats, Pencil pleats are some of the options available. We can create any drapery style for you.
